Ergonomic Assessment

Ergonomic assessments ensure employees are interacting with their working environment as efficiently and as safely as possible. An experienced eye with a thorough knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, and exposure to a multitude of different workplaces and man / workspace interactions, can provide recommendations to have the employee and the task working as effectively as possible together. Advice regarding the design, redesign or modification of a larger work area, personal work spaces, work flows, layouts, rotation of tasks, equipment design and modification, assistive equipment, tool design and modification and engineering controls can be provided within an ergonomic assessment. The recommendations will allow the worker to comfortably and efficiently perform the required work tasks by limiting, controlling or removing exposure to hazards such as sustained postures, repetitive movements, physically and psychologically stressful environments, and removing or modifying tasks that expose the worker to a longer term risk of injury.
